The Mankato Basketball Association proudly serves boys and girls in grades 3 thru 8 throughout Mankato, North Mankato and the ISD 77 school district. As a volunteer, coach-based program, our mission is to provide a positive basketball experience built on great coaching, fair competition, skill development and player growth. MBA is committed to helping every player learn, compete and succeed.

Programs built for every player

Choose between recreational in-house play or competitive travel basketball. Both built for development, sportsmanship, and fun.

Girls In-House

Girls 3–6 · In-House

Choose in-house recreational ball for local, low-key competition, or step it up with travel basketball for those ready to compete beyond Mankato.

Travel Basketball

Boys 3–8 · Girls 3–8 · Travel

Compete and grow through our travel basketball program. Either path, the focus is the same: get better, play hard, be a good teammate.

Built by volunteers

Every coach, board member, and organizer is a parent or community member donating their time.

Our coaches emphasize fundamentals, teamwork, and effort over outcomes.

Open to ISD 77

Players from Mankato, North Mankato, and the ISD 77 school district are eligible.
